WB Holden (1980-1984)

The WB Holden was designed to replace the HZ models and it did but only for luxury and commercial models. However, it’s design roots can be traced back to the HQ which it shared many parts with.

It was decided to discontinue the Holden range based on this platform and build on a new platform that was lighter and more fuel efficient.

The replacement Commodore platform was based on Opel designs and would be the start another 30 years of Holden.

Total number produced: 60,231

Domestic: 58,827

Export: 204

CKD: 1,200
